Torridon Road Library have on display a range of books that offer you ways to save money during the credit cruch. 

We also have folders displayed around the library that has online resources for jobseekers, redundancy, housing finance, personal finance, debt advice and heating and insulation.

John Updike passed away in 27th January 2009.  We have put up a display for those who would like to read something from this distinguished author, poet and critic.  The display will be taken down at the end of February 2009.   More information on Updike here.

Local History Publications at Torridon Road Library

At Torridon Road Library we have a range of Local History publications.

Recently the a DVD based on the book Hither Green: The Forgotten Hamlet has released a DVD: The Story of Hither Green and the Corbett Estate.   This is available for purchase at the Library while stocks last.

We also have historic images of Lewisham available as postcards for sale (pack of 8 for £1.20).

Arthur Conan Doyle Display

During January 2009 Torridon Road Library are displaying a range of books by Arthur Conan Doyle.  As well as the Sherlock Holmes series of books, Arthur Conan Doyle wrote many other books in a broad range of genres.  Many of these books are available to read at Torridon Road Library.
